Monthly Billing and Installment Payment Options for Revolving Credit Cards

All types of credit cards are referred to as "Kreditkarte" in Germany. The only "real" credit cards in the traditional sense, however, are revolving credit cards. With this card, the customer has an interest-free payment period of typically four weeks, and all purchases are totalled over a month. This time frame could be longer, depending on the German credit card company. Following this period, credit card customers have the option of paying the entire amount owed or in installments.
